This was the first rock tumbler that I ever bought. It worked reasonably well (compared to other models that I've owned)for the first month or so but as I was inexperienced at this at the time, I accidentally put too large of a load in and the motor burnt out. Now normally this shouldn't be too much of a problem, however, this model makes it impossible to fix/change the motor due to the motor being encased in a box that is welded to the main body. In the end, I had to throw it out and never got to fully polish any rocks with this.

I hand forge metal jewelry and I wanted a tumbler to clean and polish my pieces. I was concerned because this is the low end tumbler for Thumbler but I have used this everyday since I received in early March. This little machine is amazing, there is no barrell rub-off as in other cheaper makes and the results have been super. I clean anything metal that will fit in it. You cannot go wrong with this Tumbler. I have no desire for anything else as you sometimes do when you buy the beginner model of some things. Also Hayneedle was great to deal with.
