I'm using the tumbler to polish rocks for various crafts activities, including stone mosaics. It has a reasonably large capacity (for a hobbyist tumbler) and took only a few minutes to set up and get started.

Directions could be a little more thorough.

It's noisy--but so are most tumblers. It requires a rubber mat underneath it so it doesn't "walk" around as it runs.

We LOVE our tumbler! So glad we decided on the vibrating type as we want to keep the unique shapes we find. We found that was what we needed when comparing the 2 types. We have the tumbler outside, but it is not as loud as we thought it might be. Our first batch is in it's 4th day and it's so fun to check them everyday and see the difference. We're having a ball and can't wait til they are done. We've got another batch ready to go. I have a feeling it's going to be running
non stop for quite some time.

This is a great little unit and we will use it for years to come. If I were to suggest improvements, there would be a few, but minor in it's operation. Designers could use wing nuts for easier changing of the dish, have a gasket between the tumbling dish and lid to reduce leakages, provide better more basic operating instructions including recommended amouts of rock product and rock type charts, and put a thumb on/off switch on the electrical cord so you don't have to unplug it every 12 hours to check the tumbling process. That said, I would invest in this tumbler set-up again...in fact we bought one for my grandson, too.
